Serpagoth are a hybrid unknown to man. They are very near to extinction, due to hunting for their fur and the male’s ivory. Only 24 remain; 12 females and 12 males. The females have no means of defence physically other than two short horns on their head, unlike the males who have horns and tusks. Instead they each wear a pendant with special powers. They were discovered by a explorer who was out collecting data for scientific research. He stupidly revealed them to the world, therefore causing their near extinction from hunting. They are forgotten nowadays and remain a myth to all as they remain hidden, coming out only at night: all except Mystery, a 12-year-old girl, thought to be immortal.

About: Illyana is a very calm and wondrous Serpagoth; she is currently fostering her first baby Serpagoth, Locke, and is never seen without him next to her side. This is because she wants to make a very good impression so she can become the Serpagoth Nurse until she breeds with her mate, Markus. She has 3 white socks and one black one; this is a very rare marking so she is treated with uppermost respect. Another rare making she holds is her black horns unlike the white ones normally shown, which until now have never been seen on male OR female, she prides herself to be one of the best flyer's and has got herself a temporary job as a forager, until she finds whether her ambition of becoming the Serpagoth nurse will ever happen.
