My bag hath ARRIVED!

Oh My God!

I have found a simply amazing-amazing-amazing designer! Cath Kidston has competition...
They are called Disaster Design, I saw one of their bags in a shop and fell in love. They only sell wholesale so I searched the inters of the web and found these four loverly satchels  -

With love is especially good.

I really want to buy one for school and well for ..... me. (!gasp) I have the money saved up and they fit A4 soooo no reason why not. :D Mum likes em' as well, they are very pricey so I was surprised. Not that she thinks £40 is expensive for a bag. (lies)

Options!

Another options post. YAYz! Today we made scones, we got three each which wasn't a lot seeing as they were really small but they tasted decent so I'm not complaining. The recipe I think we used was

Ingredients

• 225g/8oz self raising flour
• pinch of salt
• 55g/2oz butter
• 25g/1oz caster sugar
• 150ml/5fl oz milk
• 1 free-range egg, beaten

Preparation method

1. Heat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
2. Mix together the flour and salt and rub in the butter.
3. Stir in the sugar and then the milk to get a soft dough.
4. Turn on to a floured work surface and knead very lightly. Pat out to a round 2cm/¾in thick. Use a 5cm/2in cutter to stamp out rounds and place on a baking sheet. Lightly knead together the rest of the dough and stamp out more scones to use it all up.
5. Brush the tops of the scones with the beaten egg. Bake for 12-15 minutes until well risen and golden.
   
   
   
   
   

   
   

   

   
   
   
   

Milkshakes!

Mmm! I tried out a new recipe yesterday and it worked out well so I made a new menu ect. ect and took a photo of said milkshake! The recipe was- (Makes two glasses)
x2 bananas
100ml of yogurt or ice cream (We had no yogurt and ice cream worked.)
200ml milk
1 pint of ice cubes (a pint glass)
2tbsp honey

Put all the ingredients into the blender except the ice and blend till smooth.
Add the ice cubes and pulse for about 30 seconds till smooth.
Enjoy!

Cookie Photos!

Options!

I* did SAT's before we broke up for half term and as a reward thing-y I guess, we get to do OPTIONS!!! Options is where we have a choice of fun-ish lessons. For my Options I am doing cookery & yearbook. We did cookery today and made gingerbread men, I might add some pictures later! The recipe (makes like 30 wo/men) we used (according to my memory) was:

Ingredients:

350g plain flour

175g light soft brown sugar

100g butter

1 medium egg

4 tablespoons of golden syrup

1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

1½ teaspoon of ground ginger

Making:

Heat oven to 180 celsius / gasmark 5.

Put the flour, butter, ground ginger and bicarbonate of soda in a mixing bowl. Mix it together till crumbly.

Add sugar, syrup and egg and stir till dough-ey.

Grease three trays.

Roll out dough to about 5mm thick.

Cut shapes and place on tray.

Put in oven for around 15 min.

Decorate with icing ect.

ENJOY!

Sunny Spain

Oh hey! I got back from Spain on Saturday after a lovely 3 hour delay, I thought I would make a little photo thingie about it so here goes!! (drag to adress bar for full size)

All photos are mine in case you had any intention of stealing them. Why? I don't know. Spain was very fun, hot and fun, we stayed for basically 5 days and Saturday morning which was long enough. Can't wait to give Silja her b-day present! Happy times, happy times.

New Post, After a long absence.

Hello, I always seem to neglect my blogs but after a bit o' a revamp I promise not to leave this one. ^.^ Life is pretty hectic - what with the whole secondary school thing. ;D Just bought Siljas birthday + leaving presents - a Cath Kidston handbag, purse and two CK mugs.:3 Soooo, watch this space for new posts, I will be updating soon! lls, as soon as I can anyway.
